The preservation of ovarian tissue is an experimental option that would allow preserving the fertility of women who are going to undergo cancer treatment.
This process involves surgically removing a piece of ovarian tissue and freezing it in liquid nitrogen. Once the cancer treatment has been completed, the cryopreserved ovarian tissue will be re-implanted.
