What is seminal vesiculitis?

28

Vesiculitis seminal is a condition characterized by inflammation of the seminal vesicles, also known as seminal glands. These vesicles are the producers of most of the seminal fluid, specifically, 60%.

Normally, the inflammation of the seminal vesicles derives from an infection produced in the urethra, in the prostate and/or in the epididymis. It is quite rare for a man to suffer from vesiculitis seminal independently.

Vesioculitis seminal causes an alteration in the quality of sperm, which is why this ailment is usually associated with fertility problems in men.
