Sertoli cells are found inside the seminiferous tubules together with the germ cells and have very important supporting functions, for the correct development of spermatogenesis (the production of spermatozoa) and in the nutrition of the germ cells.
However, there is an alteration called Sertoli syndrome in which only Sertoli cells are present in the seminiferous tubules.
