Before freezing a semen sample, the male should undergo serology to ensure the safety of the rest of the samples in the laboratory, as well as the personnel who will handle it.
In addition, it is also necessary to perform a previous semen analysis to evaluate the sperm parameters. Seminal quality will be decisive for the viability of the sample once it is to be thawed for use.
