To resume physical activity after pregnancy and childbirth, some recommendations should be taken into account, among which are the following:
- Obtain the authorization of the gynecologist.
- See a physiotherapist specializing in postpartum to indicate the exercises adapted to the woman to recover her pelvic floor and abdomen after childbirth. This recovery is essential before doing any other type of physical activity.
- Start gradually to perform the desired exercise, once the pelvic floor and abdomen have recovered.
- Hydrate properly.
- Use a suitable bra.
- Seek motivation.
Exercising after having a baby will be easier with the help of a partner and family members, but it is essential to recover the pelvic floor and abdomen and resume the practice of sports for the woman's own care and recovery.
