Artificial insemination (AI) is a low-complexity and lower-cost assisted reproductive technique compared to in vitro fertilisation (IVF). When a male is diagnosed with teratozoospermia, i.e. he has a large number of amorphous sperm, he may have difficulty achieving a pregnancy naturally.
If the teratozoospermia is mild, artificial insemination (AI) may be used to achieve pregnancy. Otherwise, if the teratozoospermia is moderate or severe, IVF will be necessary.
