Routes through which HIV is not transmitted

The HIV virus, unlike other viruses, is not transmitted through saliva. Therefore, kissing would not be a route of HIV transmission. Similarly, sharing crockery, cutlery or food does not transmit the virus.

Sharing showers, towels or going to the swimming pool also does not pose a risk of contracting HIV. Moreover, mosquito bites are not the cause of HIV transmission.
