IVF (in vitro fertilization) and IUI (intrauterine insemination) are the basic assisted reproduction techniques used in third-party reproduction arrangements. As can can see in the table, IVF can be used in all cases (donor-egg IVF, donor-sperm IVF, double-donor IVF, and gestational surrogacy), while IUI is only possible with donor sperm or in traditional surrogacy procedures.
