When it is necessary to resort to sperm donation, either because of the absence of a male partner or because of poor seminal quality, both artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization (IVF) can be performed.
The choice of one or the other technique will depend on the qualities of each woman, since for artificial insemination, for example, it is essential to have a good ovarian reserve and that the fallopian tubes are permeable.
