Owning cats during pregnancy and risk of toxoplasmosis

Women who live with a cat do not have to abandon it or donate it at the time they want to get pregnant. However, it is advisable to adopt some preventive measures so as not to get toxoplasmosis:

  • Take the cat to the vet
  • Feed only special cat food
  • Change the poop litter daily
  • Prevent the cat from being in contact with other unknown animals
