Epididymal and testicular sperm aspiration

Testicular or epididymal sperm aspiration or TESA is an intermediate type of surgery by which the surgeon aspirates the fluid contained in the testicle or the epididymis. The goal is to find viable sperm.

The few viable sperm that are found will be used later for ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection).
