The correct state of the endometrium is a key factor for embryo implantation to take place. For this reason, in assisted reproduction techniques, the endometrium is checked by transvaginal ultrasound. Ideally for implantation, the endometrium should be trilaminar in appearance and approximately 8 mm thick.
